BEFORE YOUR SUGARING
-
Protect the area from sunburn! No tanning for at least 5 days prior.
-
Grow your hair to ~1/4" (about 1/2 the length of your thumb nail). Longer is fine too!
-
For body sugaring, exfoliate1-2 days before with a sugar or salt scrub is perfect!
-
You may opt to take a painkiller ~30 min. before your appointment for a more comfortable experience.
AFTER YOUR SUGARING
For the first 48 hours:
-
Keep the area clean & avoid touching it.
-
Avoid soaking in water. No hot tubs. Showering is fine.
-
Sun protection is key! Wear sunscreen even if you don't think you need it. No tanning!
-
Refrain from exercise/sweating.
-
Avoid sex for 24 hours after bikini sugaring.
After 48 hours:
-
Exfoliate & moisturize your skin. Continue this every 2-3 days to prevent ingrown hairs.
-
Be sure to book your next sugaring in about 3 weeks for maintenance.
BEFORE YOUR
FACIAL
-
Drink plenty of water! It's the best way to prep skin to receive nutrients.
-
Protect your skin from sunburn & avoid tanning 4-5 days before.
-
Avoid waxing & strong exfoliation 48 hours beforehand.
-
Come bare-faced to your appointment if possible.
AFTER YOUR
FACIAL
-
Drink lots of water! This helps the lymphatic system & minimizes purging.
-
Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours if possible. Just let it glow!
-
If you must wear a mask, make sure it's clean! Soft cloth is best.
-
Wear sun protection daily & avoid tanning for 3-4 days.
-
Wait 3-4 days before exfoliating.
-
Book your next treatment in about 4 to 6 weeks or as recommended to maintain results.
BEFORE YOUR CHEM PEEL
-
Get a free consultation to make sure your skin is ready for a peel.
-
Use the Pre & Post Peel home care regimen if recommended.
-
Avoid abrasive exfoliation, such as face scrubs, 2-3 days before your peel.
-
If you regularly use a retinoid, take a break from it 2-3 days before your appointment.
AFTER YOUR CHEM PEEL
-
You do not need to cleanse tonight before bed.
-
You are unlikely to see any visible peeling after your treatment. This does not mean it's not working, it means your skin is taking the peel well & is not excessively damaged.
-
Follow all of the post-facial recommendations listed to the left.
-
Wait 1-2 days before resuming use of any active ingredients such as retinoids, acids, etc.
-
If you're doing a peel series, schedule your next peel in 1 week.
-
Sun protection! I cannot stress this enough. Your skin is very vulnerable to sun damage for the next few days. Wear & reapply SPF even if you think you don't need to.
